AA And Interjet Agree Codeshare

American Airlines (AA) and Mexican carrier Interjet have signed a codeshare deal.

American Airlines (AA) and Mexican carrier Interjet have signed a codeshare deal.

The agreement is the first between the two airlines and, subject to regulatory approval, will allow AA to offer a connecting service within Mexico to five new destinations - Huatulco, Villahermosa, Merida, Tuxtla Gutierrez and Oaxaca.

The new agreement allows AA loyalty members to earn miles on codeshared flights operated by Interjet.

Mexico City-headquartered Interjet operates a fleet of A320 and Superjet 100’s and has more than 1,800 weekly flights to 38 cities throughout Mexico, as well as destinations in the USA, Latin America and the Caribbean.
