AAR Adds Allegiant Air to PBH Customers

The independent aftermarket provider begins the year with another U.S. customer airline.

Aftermarket specialist AAR has grown its North American power-by-the-hour (PBH) customer base by agreeing a contract with Allegiant Air.

Under the terms of the agreement, AAR will provide component repair services to the Las Vegas-based low-cost carrier’s fleet of A320 aircraft.

Allegiant currently operates 36 of the Airbus narrowbodies, but has plans in place to grow its fleet size to more than 100 aircraft with further A320 additions to replace its mature fleet of MD80s.

“As Allegiant grows our fleet and footprint throughout the U.S., we have selected a partner who has equally strong technical expertise to help us deliver world-class service. For this reason, we selected AAR as our prime supplier for the latest aircraft type in our fleet,” said Kurt Carpenter, vice president for maintenance and engineering, Allegiant.
