Aeroflot Extends IOSA Certification

Russian flag carrier Aeroflot has had its IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification extended until October 2017.

The extended IOSA follows a five-day audit by IATA and marks the sixth time Aeroflot has been recertified since 2005.

The airline said the latest audit showed no signs of any non-conformity with IATA rules, a result it claimed “stands out” in the global aviation industry. Currently in its eighth revision, the IOSA audit covers: corporate organisation and management; flight operations; operational control and flight dispatch; aircraft engineering and maintenance; cabin operations; and aircraft ground handling.
