AIM Creates New Lighting System

AIM Aviation has developed a new lighting control system that has been installed across the Virgin Atlantic fleet of A330-300 aircraft. The new system has up to 64 pre-programmable lighting scenes which are capable of transitioning in a pre-determined time of between two and 17 seconds. The 16-channel digital LED lighting control system is concealed in the bar area of the aircraft, allowing the cabin crew to select different lighting scenes to compliment the atmosphere. The new system is certified to EASA CS-25 requirements and all applicable Airbus and Boeing requirements.
