Air Astana Leases Four Airbus Aircraft From AerCap

Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has signed a contract with lessor AerCap for the lease of three A321neos and one A320neo.

Kazakhstan flag carrier Air Astana has signed a contract with lessor AerCap for the lease of three A321neos and one A320neo.

In a statement, AerCap said the airline will use the aircraft across its domestic and international route networks.

Peter Foster, president and CEO, Air Astana, said the neo option “will prove an ideal intermediate range aircraft” for the carrier.

Air Astana currently operates a fleet of 13 A320 family aircraft, in addition to nine Embraer E-190s, five 757s and three 767s.
