Air China Reports Quiet 1st Quarter

China’s economy remained stable in the first quarter of 2014 while economic recovery continued in the Europe and the US. Demand for the aviation passenger market continued to grow in China, and air cargo also showed some improvement on the comparable period last year. Air China’s operating revenue hit RMB 24.419m, a 7.48% year-on-year increase. Operations cost the company RMB 20.733m, a 5.37% increase year-on-year. Profits declined 62.71% to RMB 93m.
