Air China Signs Long-Term TotalCare Agreement

Flag carrier Air China has signed a long-term maintenance agreement with Rolls-Royce covering its fleet of Trent 1000 engines, which will power its 15 new 787-9 aircraft.

Air China’s Trent 1000 purchase is expected to boost the OEM’s order book by $1bn at current list prices.

The airline currently operates 49 Trent 700-powered A330 aircraft, with a further four to be delivered, and has 10 Trent XWB-powered A350 aircraft on order.
