Ivory Coast carrier Air Cote d’Ivoire has converted options for two Bombardier Q400s into firm orders in a deal worth $69m at current list prices.

The two options were confirmed in December 2013 by the airline in a deal which included a firm order for two Q400 aircraft. Air Cote d'Ivoire took delivery of the first two aircraft in 2014.

René Décurey, Air Cote d’Ivoire’s chief executive officer, said the decision was influenced by the performance of the Q400 in helping the airline develop its domestic short- and medium- haul markets.
