Air Pacific has rebranded and returned to its previous name, Fiji Airways. The remarking scheme follows a turnaround, which from 2010 converted the record loss-making airline into a growing business. The airline has taken the opportunity to improve its reservations centre, and introduce new look sales offices, check-in signage and baggage tags. Fiji Airways has introduced new A330s and retrofitted its 737. It has improved its onboard experience with sleeper and breakfast service routines, new meal options, noise cancelling IFE headsets and free movies, games and e-books for children onboard the A330. The airline has also increased frequencies between Fiji and some of its biggest tourism markets including the South Pacific Islands, New Zealand and Australia, and Hong Kong and the US. “Our new schedules, together with our A330-200 fleet, will ensure Fiji Airways has the opportunity to expand its services and bring the world to Fiji,” Aubrey Swift, Fiji Airways’ acting CEO, commented.
