UK-based charter firm Air Partner has posted a pre-tax profit of £1.9m ($2.8m) for the six months to July 31, a 70 per cent year-on-year rise.

The improvement was helped by increased revenues in its commercial aircraft division, with its operating profit rising by 51 per cent year-on-year to £1.7m ($2.5m).

In a statement accompanying the results, Air Partner CEO Mark Briffa said the firm is beginning to see the benefits of integrating Cabot Aviation into the business and the August acquisition of Baines Simmons is an “exciting opportunity” for Air Partner to extend its services and capabilities.
