Air Serbia has reported a net profit of €3.9m ($4.4m) for 2015, the airline’s second successive year of profitability since beginning operations in late 2013.

The net profit marked a 44 per cent improvement on 2014’s €2.7m ($3m), while revenues also climbed by 16 per cent year-on-year to €305m ($348m).

Belgrade-headquartered Air Serbia cited a six per cent growth in its network as one of the main factors behind the improved results.

Looking forward, Dane Kondić, CEO of Air Serbia, said the airline will look to take advantage of its geographical proximity to the Balkans to capture regional traffic flows to the US.
