Air Seychelles has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Air France aimed at increasing cooperation between the two airlines.

The agreement, signed on Saturday (April 11) which is still subject to regulatory approval, includes codesharing on both carriers’ air networks, a reciprocal frequent flyer programme and technical and cargo cooperation.

Air Seychelles said the agreement was an “important development” that will support the airline’s non-stop, three flights per week service from the Seychelles to Paris beginning July 1.

The MoU follows a meeting of the two countries’ presidents last December aimed at increasing direct links between France and the Seychelles.
