AirAsia Posts $96m Net Loss For Q3

Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia has posted a RM406m ($95.8m) net loss for the three months to the end of September.

Malaysian low-cost carrier AirAsia has posted a RM406m ($95.8m) net loss for the three months to the end of September.

In results released on Thursday (November 26), the airline said the loss for the period is down from the RM5.4m ($1.2m) net profit it posted in the same period last year.

However, Kuala Lumpar-headquartered AirAsia said it recorded a higher operating profit of RM316m ($74m) compared with RM200.3m ($46.9m) reported in Q3 2014.
