AirAsia’s Leasing Arm Names New CEO

Asia Aviation Capital, the leasing division of AirAsia, has appointed Stéphane Daillencourt as its new president and CEO.

Asia Aviation Capital, the leasing division of AirAsia, has appointed Stéphane Daillencourt as its new president and CEO.

Daillencourt will take up the role from November 1 and arrives from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS), where he spent more than 11 years.

In a career spanning more than 30 years, Daillencourt has also held roles with turboprop manufacturer ATR and financiers CIT Group. AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes said of Daillencourt’s appointment:

“He brings with him decades of experience and a strong record in aircraft financing, and his deep understanding of the industry – coupled with his strong relationship with financial partners and potential customers in the region – make him the right person to take AACL to the next level.”
