Airberlin Appoints New CFO

German carrier airberlin has promoted Arnd Schwierholz to chief financial officer (CFO).

German carrier airberlin has promoted Arnd Schwierholz to chief financial officer (CFO).

Schwierholz, who joined the company in October as deputy CFO, will replace Ulf Hüttmeyer.

Hüttmeyer is joining UAE-based airline Etihad Airways, which owns a 29 per cent stake in airberlin, as SVP finance equity partner.

Both will begin their new positions on April 1.
