Airbus has completed the acquisition of Salzburg München Bank, enabling the airframer to establish its own company bank to provide financing options for its businesses.

Airbus has completed the acquisition of Salzburg München Bank, enabling the airframer to establish its own company bank to provide financing options for its businesses.

The German bank, which boasts assets of €330m and serves private clients and small businesses, will be renamed Airbus Group Bank in Q3 of 2014.

Airbus has confirmed that the bank will be “gradually developed” over the coming months to provide financial support to its businesses, but that the changes will not have any immediate effect on the institution's existing clients
