Airbus Inroads In Hawaii

Hawaiian Airlines has signed a memorandum of understanding to buy 16 A321neos and to take purchase options on a further nine. The aircraft would be delivered between 2017 and 2020. The carrier’s current narrowbody requirements are served by 18 out-of-production 717 aircraft. The MoU continues a shift towards Airbus aircraft begun with the decision to replace 16 767s with A330s and then A350s over the next decade.
