AJW Expands Air Transat A330 Agreement

Power-by-the-hour contract grows in scale to support increased number of A330s operated by Canadian carrier.

AJW Group has expanded its power-by-the-hour (PBH) agreement with Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat for its fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.

The original agreement stems back to 2013 and involved AJW overseeing the supply, repair and overhaul of rotable components for the airline.

Since then in the following four years, the airline A330 fleet has increased by 33%, and the new terms cover all 17 aircraft encompassing 13 -200s and four -300s.

Jean-Francois Lemay, president of Montreal-based Air Transat, which has operated since 1987, said the airline’s satisfaction with previous AJW work was a factor in the expansion.

“The group has the knowledge and experience to support our maintenance needs as we continue to grow our operations and serve our customers,” he added.
