Chinese airline West Air has signed a multi-million dollar contract with AJW China covering component support for its fleet of V2500 engines.

Chinese airline West Air has signed a multi-million dollar contract with AJW China covering component support for its fleet of V2500 engines.

The 10-year rate-per-flight-hour agreement covers line replaceable units on the engines powering the airline’s A320 family fleet, which currently numbers 17 aircraft and is set to expand to 64 by 2020.

According to AJW Aviation, the deal is the first of a series of agreements between the UK-based group and West Air’s parent company the Hainan Group.
