AJW Aviation has signed a long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) agreement with Air New Zealand to manage component support on the carrier’s fleet of five 767 aircraft.

AJW Aviation has signed a long-term power-by-the-hour (PBH) agreement with Air New Zealand to manage component support on the carrier’s fleet of five 767 aircraft.

Under the terms of the contract, Air New Zealand’s Boeing spares inventory will be held at sites in Auckland and Singapore.

The new agreement expands on existing cooperations between the parties, with AJW providing PBH services on the airline’s A320 fleet since 2013 and Air New Zealand leasing components from the UK-based firm.

The carrier’s engineering and maintenance division also supports the AJW Technique repair and overhaul facility in Montreal.

Air New Zealand’s chief operations officer Bruce Parton said the expansion of its AJW partnership is aimed at “delivering further efficiencies” and the need to operate at optimum efficiency and profitability.
