Alaska Airlines is to offer three new routes next summer on new E175 jets in an expansion of its partnership with SkyWest Airlines.

Under the deal, SkyWest is to dedicate seven of its current order of 40 E175 jets to operate under a capacity purchase agreement with Alaska.

The first of the new 76-seat aircraft are due to be delivered to SkyWest in the second half of 2015, and the new routes (between Seattle and Milwaukee; Seattle and Oklahoma City; and Portland and St Louis) are set to launch on July 1.

SkyWest, which is set to be the launch customer for the E2 version of the E175, announced earlier this month that is to retire its fleet of 30-seat E120s by next summer.
