Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has signed a long-term contract with Oman Air for the lease of 14 aircraft.
The lease agreements cover three 737-800s, seven 737-8MAXs, and one new 787-9 from ALC’s order book with Boeing. Additionally, the order also includes one used 737-700 and two used 737-800s.
ALC said the deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2015 and continue through to 2019.
Japeen Shah, Oman Air’s chief financial officer, said the contracts will enable the airline to continue its fleet and network expansion programme.
Oman Air plans to expand its fleet to 57 aircraft by 2018 and to 70 aircraft by 2020.
