ALC sells off 25 Embraer aircraft to NAC

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has agreed to sell 25 of its Embraer E175 and E190 aircraft to Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).

Air Lease Corporation (ALC) has agreed to sell 25 of its Embraer E175 and E190 aircraft to Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC).

The aircraft, which account for just less than 10 per cent of ALC’s Embraer fleet, will start to be transferred to NAC from Q2 2016 and will conclude in the first quarter of next year.

No financial details were disclosed but ALC said it will use some of the capital to make other aircraft acquisitions.

Steven Udvar-Házy, chairman and CEO of Los Angeles-based ALC, said the move is part of the lessor shifting its focus away from the regional jet market towards its mainline aircraft fleet.
