Allegiant To Add Another A320

Allegiant Air has signed an agreement to purchase A320, its 50th Airbus aircraft, from Airbus Financial Services.

</p>Allegiant Air has signed an agreement to purchase A320, its 50th Airbus aircraft, from Airbus Financial Services. The Las Vegas-based airline is transitioning to an all-Airbus fleet and once the aircraft is delivered in Q1 2016, Allegiant will have an in-service fleet of 25 aircraft consisting of 15 A320s and 10 A319s.</p>The remaining 25 aircraft will be up delivered through to 2018. Allegiant’s current fleet is also comprised of 47 MD-83s, six MD-88s and six 757s.</p>In a statement released on Wednesday (August 19), Allegiant said it is anticipating adding further aircraft commitments “as opportunities for new transactions arise.”
