Allegiant to buy A319s from Cebu Pacific

US low-cost carrier Allegiant Air has signed a contract with Philippines airline Cebu Pacific Air to buy six A319 aircraft.

US low-cost carrier Allegiant Air has signed a  contract with Philippines airline Cebu Pacific Air to buy six A319 aircraft.

The aircraft, which are currently in operation, are scheduled to enter the Allegiant fleet from the end of 2015 through to 2017.

The latest aircraft acquisition by Las Vegas-based Allegiant comes after it added 14 A319s to its fleet through purchase deals with lessors last year.

Allegiant expects to operate a fleet of 44 A320-family aircraft by the end of 2018.
