Allegiant Further Expands A320 Fleet

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air has purchased three ex-Hamburg Airways A320s, taking the number of A320 family aircraft it has committed to adding to its fleet this year to 15.

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air has purchased three ex-Hamburg Airways A320s, taking the number of A320 family aircraft it has committed to adding to its fleet this year to 15.

The low-cost carrier currently operates a fleet of 10 A320 family aircraft, alongside six 757s, 53 MD-80, -83 and -88 aircraft.

The three ex-Hamburg Airways aircraft are scheduled to enter Allegiant’s fleet during 2015. Earlier in the year Allegiant announced its purchase of six A319 aircraft from Cebu Pacific Air.

The aircraft are scheduled for delivery from the end of 2015 through to 2017.
