US carrier Allegiant Air has confirmed the purchase of four additional A319 aircraft Philippine low-cost carrier Cebu Pacific.
Las Vegas-based Allegiant said the transaction is “an important step” for its transition to an all-Airbus fleet.
It will take delivery of the aircraft from 2017 to 2018.
The airline previously bought A319s from Cebu Pacific, with three entering its fleet to date and the remainder arriving by the end of this year.
Allegiant currently operates 33 Airbus aircraft in its fleet, comprised of 17 A319s and 16 A320s.
