Colombian flag carrier Avianca has finalised its order for 100 A320neo family aircraft after signing a memorandum of understanding with Airbus in February. The deal is, according to Airbus, the largest single aircraft order in Latin America’s history and includes A319neo, A320neo and A321neo aircraft. The new narrowbodies are set to replace aircraft from the carriers existing fleet, which includes 94 A320 family aircraft. The new order comes just two years after Avianca ordered 33 A320neos and 51 A320s.
