Avior To Expand Fleet With A340s And 737s

Venezuelan carrier Avior Airlines has disclosed plans to add six A340s and six 737s to its existing fleet.

Venezuelan carrier Avior Airlines has disclosed plans to add six A340s and six 737s to its existing fleet.

In an interview with El Universal newspaper, the airline’s president Jorge Anez said it intends to acquire the 12 used aircraft, valued at around $150m, to support its expansion into the intercontinental flights market.

The first of the aircraft is due to arrive in early August and will add to Avior’s existing fleet of 10 737s and six Fokker 50s.
