Azul Brazilian Airlines has chosen Rockwell Collins to provide a suite of avionics for its fleet of 58 A320neo aircraft.

The avionics selected include Rockwell Collins’ MultiScan ThreatTrackTM weather radar and GLU-925 Multi-Mode Receiver.

Six of the aircraft fitted with the avionics are expected to be delivered this year, with deliveries commencing from September 2016.

A further eight A320neos will be introduced into the Barueri-headquartered carrier’s fleet next year.

Flavio Costa, Azul’s technical operational vice-president, said: “Our partnership with Rockwell Collins will guarantee even safer and efficient operations, with a brand new aircraft, as the A320neo will join our modern fleet."
