Azul Weighing Up A320 And 737

Brazilian carrier Azul is considering whether to expand its fleet with either the A320neo or 737MAX, CEO David Neeleman has revealed.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Neeleman confirms that Azul will be looking to shift its Embraer jets onto new routes – following government investment in new regional airports – and invest in bigger aircraft for its most popular routes.

The decision is between the next generation A320 and 737 aircraft he confirmed, with cost per seat mile being an important consideration.
