Canada & Philippines Expand Flight Rights

Canada and the Philippines have expanded their air transport agreement, opening up more flight and route opportunities between the two countries. Canada’s minister of transport, Lisa Raitt, and senator Tobias Enverga, made the announcement at the Gateway Centre for New Canadians in Mississauga last Friday (June 6). Reached under Canada’s “Blue Sky” policy, the extended agreement offers increased flights to any destination between the two countries, greater code-sharing opportunities and more flexibility for airlines to introduce new prices in response to consumer demand. The new rights are effective immediately.
