Air cargo volumes rose 4.2 per cent in November compared with a year ago, IATA data has revealed.
The body’s latest report also shows the cargo upturn has not been evenly spread.
Ninety per cent of November’s year-on-year growth came from just two regions; Asia Pacific took 55 per cent of the growth and the Middle East 38 per cent. European airlines saw little growth, with a 0.9 per cent rise in freight tonne kilometres (FTK).
IATA said that carriers in North America saw improvement in load factors but their FTKs volumes were flat.
