Cobalt Signs Up For LHT’s TCS Services

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed a five-year Total Component Support (TCS) agreement with Cypriot start-up carrier Cobalt Aero for six of its A320 aircraft.

Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed a five-year Total Component Support (TCS) agreement with Cypriot start-up carrier Cobalt Aero for six of its A320 aircraft.

The contract covers airframe and engine-related component overhaul, engine condition monitoring services, pooling and home base lease for the narrowbodies, which are powered by V2500 and CFM 56-5A engines.

Neil Charters, technical director of Cobalt said having a major European MRO as a partner will support the airline’s growth after it began operating in July.

Georgios Ouzounidis, LHT’s director of sales for Europe, said: “Our experience in delivering technical services for other start-ups will definitely help us to offer the best solutions to Cobalt.”
