Delta Air Lines has launched its ‘Fly Delta’ app for iPads as part of a $140m technology investment. The app, which in connection with onboard Wi-Fi, includes a ‘Glass Bottom Jet’ feature which allows customers to view maps of the ground below. Users can view other Internet content and access social networks. Additionally, the app features: travel planning tools; destination guides; flight check-in; interactive trip maps; and ‘What’s next’ to help guide customers through their journey. The app is already available for iPhones and will be updated early this year.
