US airline on-time arrivals increased during November 2012, according to the US Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Air Travel Consumer Report. Arrival times for the 15 airlines that were recorded hit 85.7 per cent, up from 85.3 per cent in November 2011 and 80.2 in October 2012. One tarmac delay of more than three hours was reported on a domestic flight and one of more than four hours on an international flight. Both flights were departing from the New York area, which had been hit by a snowstorm. The two reported tarmac delays are under investigation by the DOT.
