Low-cost carrier easyJet has said it expects “economic and consumer uncertainty” in the wake of the UK voting to leave the European Union last week.

In an update issued on Monday (June 27), Luton-headquartered easyJet said the uncertainty around Brexit will likely impact its operations this summer, with revenue per seat at constant currency set to fall by at least a mid-single digit percentage compared to H2 2015.

EasyJet also said recent movements in fuel prices and exchange rates are now expected to add around £25m ($33.3m) of additional cost in the year to that guided at the half year results.
