Dubai-based Emirates is looking to increase is premium passenger business with the launch of its new luxury private jet service. The private jet side line will use A319 aircraft capable of flying about 3,700nm. It will seat up to 19 passengers and have two key areas: the front will have a dining and executive lounge designed to seat up to 12, the rear will comprise 10 suites, each with a lie flat seat and a 32” HD LCD screen. Customers will be able to select a ‘tailor-made experience’ to their own specifications, Emirates said. Adnan Kazim, Emirates' divisional SVP of planning, commented: “We have seen an increasing demand in the private travel segment, especially in the Middle East and Europe as well as in markets such as India, Russia and China… We are looking to tap into this niche market with the high-quality of service and attention to detail associated with Emirates.” Other features of the aircraft include a shower spa, floor heating, video conferencing, high-speed internet and mobile phone connectivity and up to 1,500 on-demand channels.
