Etihad And Air New Zealand Reach MRO Deal

Middle East carrier Etihad is to perform scheduled and non-scheduled line maintenance on Air New Zealand aircraft in Melbourne, Australia, under a new agreement. The reciprocal deal will see Air New Zealand service Etihad aircraft in Los Angeles. Activities will include transit, daily and weekly checks, scheduled engineering and fault repairs. Currently Etihad serves the LA-Abu Dhabi route with A340 aircraft, but will switch to 777s from mid-July.
