Etihad And Alitalia Expand Codeshare

Following EU approval of Etihad’s acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in Alitalia, the two airlines have announced a major expansion to their codesharing agreement.

Following EU approval of Etihad’s acquisition of a 49 per cent stake in Alitalia, the two airlines have announced a major expansion to their codesharing agreement.

Under the new deal, which is subject to government approval, Etihad will codeshare on Alitalia’s new daily routes to Abu Dhabi from Venice and Milan, which will launch in March 2015, as well as on 15 of the Italian carrier’s domestic routes from Rome Fiumicino Airport.
