Low-cost carrier flydubai has been granted its membership certificate by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) after the successful completion of a safety audit carried out last year.

<p>Low-cost carrier flydubai has been granted its membership certificate by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) after the successful completion of a safety audit carried out last year.<p>The IATA audit included an examination of all the airline’s departments and assessing whether its management systems promoted “safety, integrity and effectiveness”.<p>Flydubai said that the IATA membership will strengthen its position as a regional player and ensure its participation on key industry initiatives. Ghaith Al Ghaith, flydubai’s CEO, said: “The membership qualification requires discipline and commitment to ensure that the business is running to the highest levels of safety and efficiency.”</p>
