Frontier Pens A321 Sale And Leaseback Deal

US carrier Frontier Airlines has closed a sale and leaseback deal for nine A321s from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

US carrier Frontier Airlines has closed a sale and leaseback deal for nine A321s from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS).

Delivery of the first new aircraft is set for October with the remaining new deliveries are scheduled for the rest of the year and into 2016.

All nine aircraft are powered by CFM56-5B3 engines and are part of Frontier’s existing orderbook with Airbus.

The new A321s will replace certain A319s in Frontier's fleet as part of the Denver-based carrier's fleet renewal strategy.
