GE Secures $60m Myanmar CFM56 Deal

Myanmar National Airlines has signed a $60m MRO contract with GE Aviation the 12 CFM56-7B engines which will power its new fleet of six 737NGs.

Myanmar National Airlines has signed a $60m MRO contract with GE Aviation the 12 CFM56-7B engines which will power its new fleet of six 737NGs.

The flag carrier said it took delivery of the first 737 last Friday (June 12), with the aircraft on lease from GE Capital Aviation Services.

Than Tun CEO of Myanmar National Airlines said: “Myanmar selected GE as the engine’s service provider based on its expertise in workscoping to optimise cost of ownership and the proximity of the GE Malaysia service facility to our headquarters.”
