GECAS Orders 10 Q400 NextGen Aircraft

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has signed a firm purchase agreement for five Q400 NextGen aircraft, plus options for an extra 10.

GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) has signed a firm purchase agreement for five Q400 NextGen aircraft, plus options for an extra 10.

The order is worth $160m at list prices, reaching up to $448m if all the options are exercised. Norman Liu, president and CEO of GECAS, said: “We have seen a growing demand for turboprop aircraft worldwide and the Q400 NextGen aircraft is ideally positioned to meet the needs of regional airlines.”

GECAS has the world’s largest leased commercial aircraft fleet.
