Gulf Air has posted a loss of BHD24.1m ($63.9m) for 2015, improving on the BHD62.7m ($166.3m) loss it reported for the previous year.

In results released on Wednesday (June 8), the Bahrain flag carrier said the improved results demonstrated its three-year restructuring efforts are starting to take effect.

“We are further stabilising and strengthening the business in both the short and long term,” said airline CEO Maher Salman Al Musallam.

For maintenance activities, Gulf said it also completed a fully insourced C1 check on its A321 aircraft at its new base maintenance facility at Bahrain International Airport in 2015 as well as completing retrofit work on its A330 fleet.
