Haiti’s Office National de L'Aviation Civile (OFNAC) has announced completion of a joint project with IATA and Airbus ProSky to modernise the airspace of Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haïtien International Airports.

The initiative, conducted in consultation with Air France, American Airlines and JetBlue, improves airspace safety while reducing flight times and CO2 emissions at the two Haitian airports.

The new airspace design, which will be fully implemented on April 2, came about following Haiti’s earthquake in 2010, which damaged much of the country’s infrastructure.
