Hamad International To Start Flights On April 1

Qatar’s new airport, Hamad International Airport (HIA), will begin operations on April 1. The airport will at first be supported by 10 airlines, which will move their full service from Doha International Airport (DIA) to HIA. These airlines are: Air Arabia; Air India Express; Biman Bangladesh Airlines; flydubai; Iran Air; Nepal Airlines; Pakistan International Airlines; RAK; Syrian Air and Yemen Airways. As from April 1, there will be around 32 passenger flights departing daily from HIA equating to approximately 222 flights per week. Qatar Airways, the nation’s flag carrier, will move its full operations from DIA to HIA by the end of the year.
