Hawaiian Airlines has signed to a five-year heavy maintenance agreement with Delta TechOps for its fleet of A330 aircraft.
The contract covers 22 aircraft, two which are to be delivered by the end of the year.
The companies have also signed a contract for the lease-return checks for two 767 aircraft, which will be undertaken this year at Delta TechOps’ Atlanta facility.
Under the A330 contract, Delta TechOps will provide services, including C-checks, on the widebody aircraft at its Minneapolis facility, which the MRO has confirmed it is expanding.
Delta TechOps aims for the site to become an “A330 centre of excellence” and is expecting to create 70 new MRO technician positions alongside expanding its Airbus component capabilities.
