The Dutch government has released new documents on the investigation of the MH17 crash, but has drawn criticism after some information was removed.

The Dutch government said it had withheld certain elements of the report to protect the personal data and security interests of rescue workers who attended the crash site.

Dutch broadcaster RTL has threatened the government with court action to force it to reveal more details.

Crash investigators and police in the Netherlands are still probing the cause of last July’s crash, which is believed to have been caused by either a surface-to-air or air-to-air missile strike.
