The airline profit forecast for the year ahead remains positive, according to IATA’s Airline Business Confidence Survey for April.
The report, which records the insights of airline CFOs and heads of cargo, shows recent financial performance has improved on last year, and the outlook remains positive, suggesting further growth in profitability.
Both passenger and cargo volumes were reported to have grown during Q1 2015, in line with latest air traffic statistics.
Airline employment also increased, reflecting improved financial performance.
The survey also notes a fall in input costs for Q1 2015, due to lower crude oil prices.
